Data Engineer (NLP focus)
Hamburg, Germany - Full-time
  • Exciting and challenging digitization projects for intelligent information processing and retrieval from text and speech data
  • Application and further development of Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods and tools, especially text classification, information extraction and recommender systems as well as text recognition (OCR)
  • Consulting on business and technological challenges in the implementation of NLP projects
  • Further development of NLP components to holistic data-driven IT products and guarantee of sustainable productive business use
  • Responsibility for quality and project success as well as active participation in the further development of our consulting portfolio
  • Successful degree in computational linguistics, (business) computer science, mathematics, statistics or a comparable field of study
  • Professional experience in the conception and development of NLP projects, ideally in consulting
  • Sound knowledge of common NLP frameworks (e.g. CoreNLP, spaCy, Flair, huggingface)
  • Very good methodological knowledge in Machine Learning / Deep Learning for NLP (e.g. Recurrent Neural Networks, LSTMs, Attention, Transformer) and practical experience with the corresponding frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, pyTorch)
  • Several years of programming experience in Python, experience in R and Java is advantageous.
  • Addressee-appropriate communication of complex, technical issues and experience in large IT landscapes- and organizations.
  • Fluency in English and German
